Ha! Not to minimize the rest of what you had to say but this just proves that people want to see the Falcons lose lol. Not that anyone wants to see the Patriots win :).

On your comment about no-name receivers.. that's exactly how we won in 2009.

It's probably going to get worse. Der Commissar has been shown to be a clown, the refs have shown to be incompetent while the NFL has shown no remorse and has been the subject of a smear campaign by the Saints, and rightly so.

Yeah... it's going to get worse! Godhell holds a grudge and will be out to get the Saints again with a vengeance! :argue:

I fully believe that Goodell wants to have some ability to impact outcomes of games. I think he is intentionally turning a blind eye to fixing some key problems with the NFL if they provide him with the opportunity to increase competitiveness in key games. Competitiveness equals more viewership, which in turn equals more advertising and more potential for increased TV revenues. The NFL is all about the money. They will play games on the moon if it meant more money and every night of the week if they could, regardless of player safety. They would kill players for more money (and they have). They will only make changes for the better if they are financially impacted to do so.

I truly believe the NFL has mandated referees to call games with the intention of keeping them close. If one team is pulling away they get penalized or victimized by non-calls. Whistles go to the other team to keep viewers watching. I'm hesitant to say he is scripting outcomes, but he is for sure using officiating or lack thereof to ensure games stay close and viewers stay tuned in.
