Re: Anyone still want Josh Rosen?

I think the reason people are so positive about Bridgewater is that he's a very likable and friendly guy off the field. Vikings fans absolutely loved him for this reason and some of them wanted him to come back. I think he's a good backup, but he's not Drew's replacement. When it comes time for replacing him, I think Payton will draft a QB (here's me wishing we could some how get Trevor Lawrence out of Clemson. That kid is going to be something special). |
Re: Anyone still want Josh Rosen?
so we invested a third round pick and a seven million dollar contract on a player who is not very good and does not have a future with the club? Um...okay

Re: Anyone still want Josh Rosen?
Wonder what happens with Rosen now & where he'll eventually land now that Murray is the new kid on the block? Maybe they keep him?
I don't even think Miami will call. |

IMO Rosen will become a better Pro QB than Murray. Cards O line is trash, trash & I see Kyler running for his life. Josh should be elated that they are looking to trade him. |
Re: Anyone still want Josh Rosen?
A talented quarterback who was built for the position. Although he is slightly undersized, his athletic ability lends well to him being able to be an NFL-type quarterback who can make plays with his feet, extend plays, make the deep throw, and lead a team down the field. He has some of the same natural talents that Baker Mayfield had in the 2018 draft. Overcomes a slight size deficiency by simply being so athletic that defenders rarely get a shot on him. As a hurdler (out of high school) it is apparent that he is extremely explosive. He drops back with absolute ease. He is able to feel comfortable enough in the pocket to step into a throw in traffic, or reset outside the pocket. At this point he can also move the ball downfield with his feet. While many would argue that he might be an athlete playing quarterback, his senior year reaffirmed that he is simply an athletic quarterback, a guy who can make all the smart throws first, and create later if necessary.
A SURE FIRE CAN'T MISS!!!! |
Re: Anyone still want Josh Rosen?
I watched several of Rosen’s games last year and was not too impressed. Even when he had time he wasn’t that good at times but maybe he was just rattled. At this point I wouldn’t invest more than a 3rd for him and I’m sure if that’s all they are being offered the Cardinals will just hold onto him for cheap insurance.

Would still rather have Teddy than Rosen.
|
Re: Anyone still want Josh Rosen?
He just might be humble, bring him in. Better upside then Teddy.

Not that being a pro bowler means elite.
|
Re: Anyone still want Josh Rosen?
Teddy's Pro Bowl season he had 14 TDs, 9 INTs and over 3,200 yards passing with a ANY/A of 5.70.

I don't know what the hell the Cards are doing. They just hired a coach who was lackluster in college and then traded away their QB they drafted just last year to take another one. If that o-line hasn't improved at all, they are going to be just as bad as last year. |

Re: Anyone still want Josh Rosen?
Cards unload Josh Rosen to Dolphins;
When the NFL's Arizona Cardinals selected Oklahoma's Kyler Murray with the No. 1 pick in this year's draft on Thursday, the selection set up a potential quarterback competition between Murray and Arizona's 2018 starter, Josh Rosen, who was the team's top pick in last year's draft. But now that competition won't be happening. The Cardinals are trading quarterback Rosen -- the overall No. 10 selection in last year's draft -- to the Miami Dolphins, according to multiple reports. In return, the Cardinals are expected to receive the No. 62 pick overall and a fifth-round pick in 2020, the reports said. The trade has been expected for weeks. |
Re: Anyone still want Josh Rosen?
And when the Dolphins draft Tua in the 1st next year??
|
Re: Anyone still want Josh Rosen?
I hope Arizona bombs out this year I don't think Murray is what they think he is. Time will tell.
|
Re: Anyone still want Josh Rosen?
I personally hope Rosen has a great season and the Cards continue to circle the drain.
If that happens, they will use the "Murray is only a rookie" card, yet that didn't seem to matter when Rosen was being traded. The games I saw, Rosen made some pretty good throws, especially considering how trash the supporting cast were around him. |
Re: Anyone still want Josh Rosen?
If the new Coach Flores can build a solid O line around Rosen, he could flourish in South Beach.
|
Re: Anyone still want Josh Rosen?
My lengthy post wasn't on Murray, With the exception of a few edits, it is word for word the opinion of some EGGSPURT on none other than Robert Griffin III.
