Re: Nick Foles... should we?

No.

Nick Foles is a younger version of Eli Manning. Whatever team throws the bank at him and makes him the starter, it's going to be a major risk.

Nah. I'd rather keep Teddy for the same or less of a price tag. Or go younger. Foles isnt bad. Can play. I just wouldn't want the price tag he comes with just to sit behind Brees another season or 2.

Re: Nick Foles... should we?

We should've made the move for him four years ago, not now.

We don't have the cap space to compete with teams like Jacksonville who're ready to win now...

Doesn't mean he would have accepted.

Down and out, Nick Foles was on the brink of retirement.
Yet after some soul-searching over a fly-fishing and camping trip with his brother-in-law, the quarterback decided not to hang up his cleats.

“At that point, there were several teams that called, but the only one that I was going to play for was Kansas City because of coach (Andy) Reid being there,” Foles said. “He’s a man that’s always believed in me no matter what.”

Foles is one of the most likable QBs off the field. He has stayed humble and pushed through the toughest of times when his career was nearly over.

He played way over his ceiling in the 2017 playoff run. I think a lot of his success can be contributed to the RPO scheme which fits his skill set as a QB. We also tend to overlook that Philly's offense was absolutely loaded in 2017. When they made that trade for Jay Ajayi during the season, that was just another weapon to an already stacked offense. Even though Philly is missing some of their coaches from that SB year, I still think Doug Pedersen knew what he was doing with Foles. Pedersen was the OC in Kansas City when Foles was there with Reid.

If he goes to a mediocre team like the Giants, Jags or Bengals, he could have a serious downfall.

I think at best, he is a decent bridge QB that you start while searching for your next young guy in the draft.

Lots of truth there... although Teddy can Choppa Style.

Neither takes a pay cut, IMHO.
