Re: Best Mardi Gras parade taking shot at NFL

A Packers fan tried to lecture me how "you guys down there need to just get over it and move on, you're ruining your own holiday". I promptly told him to **** off. Don't live down here, don't tell us how to celebrate Mardi Gras.

As Secretary Earl Butz, Secretary of Agriculture (which manages the USAID humanitarian food relief program) told Pope Paul after he commented that the US should not be distributing birth control to countries with starving populations.

"He no playa the game, he no maka the rules."

Hypocrits Amaze me. Minnesota got beat straight-up in the NFC Game (AP fumbled (3Xs) their chances away), but it wasn't fair they didn't get the ball in overtime - so OT rules were changed...

Jim Irsay, frustrated his Colts couldn't get past the Patriots, lobbied rules changes so any contact after five, uh one yard, almost always favors receivers; Patriots, Belichick adapted and still win...

Just last year Packers fans, their front office lobbied heavily after two late losses, both involving costly Clay Matthews unnecessary roughness flags, saw the league adjust those calls late last season...

As a young man, schools, media indoctrination would teach that I was flawed as an American as I was from the South...

When I traveled the country as a leader in my fraternity, my objective experience revealed that some of the most intolerant bigots and hypocrites were in the MidWest, MidAtlantic and PacWest states...

While I made great friendships there, there were just as many jerks like you described with that "You guys down there need to just take it and like it" attitude, but when it's them - knock over the gameboard...

Traditionally, we've always mocked, even self-deprecated (not defecate) ourselves with our Mardi Gras themes on politics, sports, religion, race (even Zulu mocks the world in black-face)...

Only in the past few years have we let some political correctness movement creep into New Orleans to ruin what once was the healthiest, most honest attitude with that approach on sensitive topics...

This is still getting a lot of positive national attention. Everyone knows that we got screwed and it's getting good reviews around the nation because they know that we deserved to make it a better Super bowl! Anyone who can't see that needs to become an NFL referee!

Don't forget Baltimore and their whiny coach Harbaugh who wanted a rule change after the Patriots beat them in the 2014 playoffs. Baltimore was the team that originally started the ridiculous "Deflategate" thing.

Also the Chiefs want overtime rules changed now after losing to the Pats. Rather than just admitting their defense blew it on multiple 3rd down and long situations, they want the rules changed.

And people ask me why I respect the Pats as a team. This is why lol. People label them "cheaters" and cry endlessly when they lose, meanwhile they just keep on moving forward.

Actually that was Ole Drunk Jim Irsay, again, and his Colts. While some individual Ravens whined, including the alleged murderer Ray Lewis, Harbaugh debunked the reports he had complained...

And yet, we still have some @asshats out there who drink the NFL office cool-aid and tell us to quit whining...
