Re: How should Saints handle free agency? Be aggressive filling visible needs, keep eye on future
Disagree. I would resign key starters. Hang back for values in FA. Look to move 1 player (Peat) for draft capital.

I can’t recall Payton and the mickster ever going bananas in free agency besides lbs and has been corners or safeties besides Brees which was shunned . Somebody remind this old fart

Re: How should Saints handle free agency? Be aggressive filling visible needs, keep eye on future
We can spring on one or two good free agents like last year. We hit with Davis and missed with Coleman......we must do better than 50%. P rob doesn't count since he was on IR. However, I'm hoping that he can get back to his Super bowl Eagles form covering the slot receiver.
We need O-line and DT according to Payton…..he is just repeating what I keep writing! If we keep putting our assets in the trenches it will continue to pay off by either opening or closing holes for team mates to take advantage of. |
