Re: Saints Sign Latavius Murray
It’s a huge gamble...I just hope it pays off. I don’t like the idea of messing with our core offensive players but I trust the staff to make the right decision. I just hope Murray can pick up the offense quickly and contribute immediately.

Also it will be Kamara show. Dude is too good to be just 3rd down back. You don't pay 7-8 mil per year for 2nd option at RB position. Can't blame Mark, you have to take the money in this situation. Overall Mark is better player than Murray but Murray excels in things we need the most with Kamara as lead back. That's power running between the tackles and 3&1, 4&1 situations. |

Reality; he had a solid, unspectacular career and was paid well. If GB or someone else wants to give a 29yr old with 6000 career yards a 6 million dollar contract, so be it. We just got younger, bigger, cheaper |
Re: Saints Sign Latavius Murray
Taking the emotion out of it, I’m fine with Murray as our #2 RB and he’s coming cheap.
Putting the emotion back into it... Don’t go Mark! I’m going to miss him so much. |
Re: Saints Sign Latavius Murray
Good pounding rb to spell AK. I hate losing MIA but Murray is a good replacement

Re: Saints Sign Latavius Murray
Like Smash, I hated how we acquired Ingram - not the man, well, I hated his TD spasm dance, but I liked his team-first energy, spirit...
But the impact in acquiring him arguably cost four add'l high picks (one R1, three R2s) plus the first used if you factor the Belichick Trade (R2, FR1) and then Bountygate Penalty likely would have been only a first... His production was awful for the initial investment, he barely justified one third round pick; but over fiver years he finally became the lead back we'd sought and I felt re-signing him as we did was the right move... Was in favor of keeping him again, had his costs been the same with a raise for the adjustment for the cap inflation, but, alas, it is what it is... |
Re: Saints Sign Latavius Murray
Slight downgrade but great value. I do see him getting beat out by some unknown in camp.

Really? Dang I would take this bet any day of the week. Some are underrating Murray; he is only a slight downgrade due to his passing game inefficiency. As a runner I don't think the Saints miss a beat. |
