Banjo has been a special teams ACE for us last 2 seasons but will 2019 be his last year in B&G? I ask this question because most here believe Gardner-Johnson will make big plays sooner rather than later.

K Major, I'd moved Gardner to SS in the latest depth chart because much of the buzz about the local media is that Gardner will be the replacement for Bell should he leave in Free Agency next year...

Attribute of Gardner is he has size to play in the box & speed as a backstop safety, as you alluded to earlier; since he can cover, Saints may use some Heavy Nickel or just flat-out transition to him mid-season...

Bell's time in New Orleans has an expiration date; plus, recent interviews of Coach P et al has clearly shown vision of Saquan Hampton is covering kicks but hash physical ability, but in need of coaching, to be a FS...

If that's the case, he's there to push and/or replace Chris Banjo, which I'd love to see us create some cap room for the coming big contract extensions; Banjo, Robertson, and Klein will have to re-earn their jobs...

If Carl Granderson can get past his legal issues ...

He's worth watching at camp. Kind of hard to ignore his production and ability to get after the QB consistently. Trey Hendrickson hasn't really done a whole lot so there's that.

Really need Lil’Jordan Humphrey to put on about 20 lbs and transition to TE a la former Texas A&M WR Ricky Seals-Jones.

That's a big red flag - especially after he who is no longer named was convicted for drugging/date raping women...

Saints interviewed him a few times in draft research, the looming legal process disclosed. Saints security is tight-lipped, but must have some evidence that exonerates him for them to move forward and sign him...

I don't know Chris, he's limited to, but effective, unstoppable against lesser defensive talent, in the slot...

May allow us to move @CantGuardMike around (MT does most damage in slot) or give him rest; Lil'J may just end up being the Marques Colston replacement Payton's coveted...

He could also be used to highpoint in the back-corners of the endzone vs sub-six-foot CBs, if he can make those hands truly reliable. He's definitely matched up vs Cam Meredith for a roster spot...

Jordan Humphries ... meh.

No quickness, no burst off the line, below average skill set. Those simple routes he ran at Southlake Carroll & UT won't work in the NFL. That 4.75 40 time & lack of lateral movement was an eye sore for a ton of teams. He must improve on his diamond catching technique (The Great Marques Colston already had this skill perfected while at Hofstra) & learn how to block.

Not to be a Debbie Downer on the kid but you gotta bring more to the table in the NFL than just size.
