I'd like to see us sign RFA C/G Matt Skura from Baltimore - kind of get 'em back for overpaying Ingram, taking away a career-long player for us... |

We need depth in the secondary. Ken Crawley could be picked up and Patrick Robinson recovery. LQQKin at the draft to fill some holes

Also, I'd read that Meredith's deal last year was essentially a one year deal; check OTC cap numbers and understand his contract now... Thanks, Major! |

Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
RDE (2) 92 - Marcus Davenport, 97 - Mario Edwards, Jr. (FA 2019)
NT (2) 90 - Malcolm Brown (FA 2019), 76 - Taylor Stallworth On paper, that's a robust defensive front. I expect much of the same (#1 ranking vs run) in 2019 ... low probability of teams having consistent success running the football on the Saints. |

But am looking forward to Malcolm Brown collapsing that pocket push that QB further back for our edge rushers; dare we ask to see a few forklift highlights? Still Aaron Lynch is an intriguing option as a rotational defensive end, earned $4mil/$1.25mil guaranteed last year, which is a bargain for a 6' 5", 250lbs reserve with 18 career sacks... And if his name sounds familiar, he was a big reason why San Fran beat us in OT in the playoffs a few years ago... |

Sounds crazy, but an agent I'd spoke with in past cleared it up; actually, it was talk a contract for OG pay where he told me, nobody pays OGs, except Saints, but they pay LTs, so OL pays avg is better optics... Basically we've signed Brown as Davison's replacement - Brown is an expensive, slight upgrade to Davison. But Onyemata, who actually had a better PFF grade, replaces Rankins, Edwards is backup... |
