But we didn't have that combo-punch to the body that was often lethal, not letting defenses breathe...

RB - Dwayne Washington ... I think Ozigbo will show up and show out enough at camp to get #3 spot.

WR - Cameron Meredith ... I want him to succeed in the slot however I don't believe his knee will ever be 100% again. He can't help if on the sideline in December when we start to make that final "push" for post season position.

I do agree with him on the TE's though ... Dan Arnold didn't show up when the lights were on in 2018 and a young, hungry lion (Alize Mack) aims to take his spot.

Oh and yes, it's just a matter of time for Ken Crawley. His confidence is gone. Kayvon Webster is an upgrade, a seasoned vet and plays on special teams. I hope Saquan Hampton does enough to earn practice squad spot. Someone that could be worth developing.

Can't wait for training camp :bng:.

DE is looking pretty bad now that Granderson will not be in the mix. Granted, if we were relying on an UDFA to give us meaningful snaps then we were not in great shape anyway.

There was an article that said Vince Biegel is getting more pass rush snaps... But he doesn’t have great length. Maybe Porter Gustin surprises.

Mario Edwards has said that the coaching staff very clearly stated he’ll be a 3-technique.

Sam Acho
Nick Perry
Derrick Morgan
Wilkerson

... experienced vets who are NFL "ready" & can get to the QB and are available at the moment. Trust me, the Saints coaching staff have a plan B at DE behind Davenport & Cam.

** Trey Hendrickson aka TRex needs to step up his game in 2019.

According to Wyoming stats for 2018, Carl had 28 solo tackles, 12 assisted & 3 sacks. Not exactly tearing it up. Saints coaches probably saw a high motor, "raw" talent who could contribute on special teams.

It won't surprise me if the Saints brought in a vet (team position casualty) post training camp.

Careful - you've got to skew those numbers because:

a) he didn't have a great defensive line anchoring the middle at WY

b) college runs the ball a whole lot more, hence the 28 solo tackles which is high for a Defensive End...

Waiting to hear the details of this sexual assault come out; but if he did force his self - I don't want him wearing the Fleur-de-lis, not for a SEXUAL or DOMESTIC assault...

Okay, I'm gonna seem like I'm talking outta my arse, but keep in mind, I've been critical of what it took to get Davenport, not Davenport, who was a fine draft prospect (not my fave)...

That said, yeah, will miss Okafor who showed up and played himself into a great contract, but we now have a former first round pick who can rotate with Cam, Davenport, and Trey-Rex - that's not too shabby...

Now Davenport SHOULD (cue Mora clip) be healthy, will have been in an NFL strength program for a year, and is now acclimated, rested with a full off-season that doesn't include stressing his body for the Draft...

Davenport will be the key though...

Brothers and Sisters, our 2018 rookies on DE and WR, and OL will be the difference this year...
