My focus will be on this offensive line; concerned about the lack of quality depth behind the starters and how this line gels with the rookie center leading it...

+1.

77 - Marshall Newhouse (FA 2019) ... not sure how long he'll last but he's been a human turn style @ practice.

I'll go defensive line. The pass rush was lacking big time on Friday.

IIRC we didn't get a sack on Cousins or the back up.

TE (3) 87 - Jared Cook, 89 - Josh Hill, 85 - Dan Arnold, 45 - Garrett Griffin, 81 - A.J. Derby (FA 2019), 82 - Jake Powell (UDFA 2019), 86 - Alizé Mack (R7P17, #231)

Here is an area of focus for me as well.

Outside of Cook, no one else here has impressed thus far. I'd like to see more AJ Derby on Sunday.

You know Mack has been injured? He's likely headed for the proverbial Payton NFL Medical Red-shirt...

With Dan Arnold, folks are forgetting this guy was a wide receiver until last year, his first year in the NFL, he had to learn a new position and is trying to gain bulk, mass to play that new position...

Considering where he is, I'm impressed with what he's done and was glad to hear Payton is in his corner wanting him to succeed - Arnold has just got to reverse this trend of coming up short on these plays...

Kind of bummed here. I actually thought Alize' would make some "noise" and compete. So far I'm dead wrong on him.

Its not the learning position stuff that people are annoyed about with Arnold, it's the fact that a converted WR can't catch or hang onto the ball consistently.

Dizz, you just made my point by saying Its not the learning position stuff, again, I'm saying fans should consider:
  • Arnold's a young player, only his second training camp

  • Came from a small school (likely limited scheme, coaching resources)

  • Dan then joined the most complex offense in the NFL

  • He did this as a rookie, a rookie

  • And there's the stuff of learning a new position, not to mention the training and dietary regime to gain thirty-forty pounds...
The only thing that could've made this harder is if the new position would've been quarterback...

I see the talent that I think Payton does, and patience will be rewarded with this young player...

I say keep sending him in there, build his confidence, and we will be rewarded...

I didn’t even realize we have Buck Allen. The RB room is super talented.

Rez, he's designated injured/reserved, at the start of training camp...
