Re: Former Saints center Max Unger says health issues led to retirement
The big man was the main stay on our O-line for years and will be hard to replace. He was looking a little old at the end of last season and apparently it was time to retire. I wish him well and thank him for taking the time to give me an autograph and chat. Max Unger was a great player, team mate and leader. He will be tough to replace in new Orleans and I see a down grade for the O-line with his loss.
Looking back he was unhappy about the trade at first but he made the most of it. He was a true professional on and off the field and represented New Orleans well. Thanks for everything Max! ![]() |
