The New Orleans Saints have had trade talks with the Miami Dolphins about defensive end Robert Quinn, the Miami Herald reported Tuesday (March 19).

The Dolphins are in the midst of shedding high-price players and appear willing to pay for at least part of the salary for discarded players, the report said. That’s what Miami did by paying $5 million of quarterback Ryan Tannehill’s salary in the form of a signing bonus before they sent him to the Tennessee Titans.

He left Dallas without a contract. New Orleans is his next visit.

It would be pretty sweet as long as the compensation is reasonable. It would be an upgrade from Okafor.

Dolphins are clearly in rebuild mode ... wonder if the new regime is interested in a guard named Andrus Peat?

Losing Oak and getting the talent of Quinn wouldn't be a bad thing.

Would we take Quinn and a 4th this year for Bridgewater?

You're dreaming if you think Payton's gonna part with Bridgewater...

Nothing more than out last pick, otherwise, let him hit the market 'cause they're gonna cut him...

And please Saints FO, don't trade/swap any of the Day 3 picks back a round (i.e. 6th for a 7th) and take Quinn...

I don’t trust a line without Unger, Peat, and Armstead when his yearly injury sidelines him. I think we have no choice but to maintain as much continuity as possible this year. I don’t want Brees starting behind a brand new offensive line at this stage of his career.

True. Saints and Saints fans are gonna find out real fast who the best offensive lineman was before Ramczyk arrived...
