Due to his track record it’s safe and reasonable to assume he probably will miss time.
It’s basic survival to take into account a persons history as you assess them.

By your logic you could have a girlfriend who goes out and cheats regularly but because it’s a new week you decide to give her the benefit of the doubt that it won’t happen again.

Not taking that bet because you'll be pulling for him to get injured. Hopefully not consciously, but still the added negative vibes will be there. It happened last year with Meredith. I'm all for minimizing the gris gris this season.
