Is this Brooks year?
OK, Brooks has shown flashes of greatness but has also shown there is no QB in history better at throwing an INT in the redzone or fumbling the ball at crucial points in a game. Everyone has hoped that he would be the savior but it hasn't worked out that way.
So is this the year that Brooks will be demoted or traded if they don't make the playoffs? Just food for thought fellas! Remember we were having this same discussion last year about Haz getting fired if he did'nt make the playoffs and that did'nt work out too well for us either. |

RE: Is this Brooks year?
Maybe it's the year he steps up and produces. Regardless which way he swings, I think this will be the year a decision is made. He now will have the line, a simpler O scheme, and hopefully will not be hindered by constant 1st and longs.
AMac's dev will also play a role. If at the end of the season, Brooks displayed about the same productivity with the same number of mistakes AND Amac has progressed more than expected, we will drop Brooks. Any improvement by Brooks comboed with AMac having avg development, and I think we hang on to Brooks. Best case senario, Brooks does well and allows Amac time to mature over the next couple seasons, and we see a smooth transition into our future. Talk about optimism, whew. |

I think Brooks will have a good season. The guy has put up pretty good numbers almost every year he has been here. It's his lack of leadership and stupid mistakes that make fans crazy. If were only a question of production, I don't think fans would have such a problem with the guy. I know he probably feels a little more pressure to produce this year than in years past. He has all the tools and all the weapons to have a great season, it's wether or not he can step up. I think Brooks will have a good season.

I bet if you go back exactly one year, there will be another post that reads "is this Brooks year?". After that, go back another year, and there will be another one as well.....get it?
