We need to drop Gardner like a bad habit and keep McAfee. Neither will ever see the field on offense during a game, so the question becomes who is more valuable on ST. Does anyone have an answer to that question?

Yes I see Gardner gone... he just isn't even close to being decent WR.

The most important number is 45. Active Roster for each game.
53 is really not that important when you're talking about releasing someone.
If they can battle for one of the 45, likely they won't be cut.
McAfee can battle for a spot on the 45

Remember, the emergency QB (3rd QB) doesn't necessarily count on the active roster.

I think the team keeps 5 RB's (including McAfee) B/C WR has never been that important to Has. See Devery's dissappearnces from a year ago.
OL will be interesting too

7 I count... Who is last to get on? Nesbit? Or Sett or Folau?
Mayberry gives you Guard to Tackle flexibility

Oh yeah and Injuries

Nesbit. He is the most versatile of them. Folau hasn't been the same since his injury two years ago. I like Setterstrom, but I think Nesbit is better.

I still think they'll keep 9 OLinemen. I just think McAfee will be left out of the mix - just like last year.

Good point Danno. While I don't disagree with the likelyhood of that happening, I hope it doesn't. I think we need to keep McAfee and find another player to cut. The special teams units have been much, much better with him as Capt. I wish I could argue with your logic, but I can't because he may get cut this year.

i wish it was possible to keep 4 te's. Conwell, Williams, Meier, and Hilton(who impressed the hell out of me at the mini-camp......if we dont use him in the red zone we are retarded)

Fred's days are probably numbered, but I don't know that a single guy has single-handedly affected our ST units as much as Freddie did over the years since Morten Anderson.
I wanted to co-sign on this one. McAfee brings something to the table that makes the ST unit so much better.
