Re: LSU placekicker Cole Tracy to tryout with Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints
If you want a kicker who just makes kicks, and is extremely reliable, Tracy should be at the top of the list for any team who needs a kicker. If you want a Sebastian Janikowski type who you can call on to try 60 yard field goals, he's not your guy.
He had to kick the ball low to get it to go more than 50 yards, which is obviously a block risk. But the ball comes out clean, crisp and on line, consistently. |

But, that had a lot to do with his relationship with Sean, and the fact that he didn't want a rival to get Lutz for cheap. here's looking at you Steelers and your 5 kickers since then |

The Saints don't need a kicker. I'm just saying for any team who is looking for a reliable kicker who will make the one's your supposed to make, Tracy would be a good get. He was considered the top kicker in the draft, by some publications. Obviously, the couple of teams who drafted a kicker cared more about leg strength. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.
