I saw Poole play a couple of times, and he has hands like sticky taffy. He makes tough catches. He is not a burner, but we don't need more of those. We need players who can go into traffic and catch the ball, and he can. Plus that catch he made to knock Minny out the playoffs. He is young, and seems to run decent routes. In other words, he seemed to immediately be better than any 4th guy we had, and could challenge for 3 depending on Devery.

Exactly Whodi.... agreed.
I'm not sure what's not to like about Poole. He's young (I think he's entering his 4th year), and he's pretty big. I think he's 6-2 and 210 or something like that - which isn't huge for NFL standards, but compared to Horn, Stallworth, Henderson, Lewis, etc. he's a freaking giant. He's also from Marshall, where they've produced some pretty decent WRs in past years. I agree with Whodi that my memory of the guy is that he has good hands, and while Devery, Henderson, and Lewis are all basically the same type of player, and Horn is a smaller WR, Poole presents a big physical target, which the Saints haven't had. |
