My point is, AB has above average talent but is below average in terms of performance, assuming you measure performance as getting the most possible out of each attempt. Thus, all in all, AB ends up being very average in his time. Moreover, there are past Saints QBs who have had less talent that have done more. Everett, Hebert, and Manning are three for sure.
Very well put.

I think you should type in CAPS because I don't think anyone is seeing your point that Brooks in doing less with more. Text size 50, bright pink letters, and one word per line should do the trick.

And Joe Horn was DFL in the entire NFL in YAC's. It probably would have been nice to have a WR who actually ran after he caught the ball wouldn't it?
Just rewatched the Saints vs. Bucs game from this past season, where the Saints won. I guess Horn could have more yards after the catch if he wasn't so busy pulling line drives out of the dirt or performing acrobatic moves in the air in order to catch the ball. But then, he's paid to play football, not baseball.

I think all of the money issues with the Saints are front office blunders, they overpaid Gandy and should have kept Roaf...that Stincomb guy couldn't start on a highschool team...come on...Jay Bellamy 2 million a year...If we want the pplayers to honor contracts, make the team honor contracts.....Go T.O. they cut you if they want...hold out if you want..

Even if we did ask him to take a pay cut and he refused, don't we have several people to take his place?

Stinchcomb is the big if Big Cherm. If Stinch can finally play up to his potential and take the LT spot, Gandy could be let go. Key word: COULD. Bottom line: won't. He's one of Haslett's boys - a "quite leader" who Haslett wouldn't let go of, IMO.

I find it funny that a guy who got knocked on for being to quite and softspoken a few years back, is now being knocked for speaking up for what he thinks is right.
