New construction can cost less than a major renovation because of the added costs of tearing down and disposing of the old structure. E.G. Laying carpet in a new home is cheaper than replacing carpet in an old one. https://www.fromthisseat.com/index.p...orleans-saints https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/ |

Heck for another 499 mill u can build a stadium over the Mississippi River on a bridge with an ice cream truck selling stock in another bridge to the stadium on the Mississippi River. Rip the thing down already and build something alla Pittsburg on the river |

A lot of money, but needed if the city is going to compete as a host for the Super Bowl, NCAA's, etc.
The big impact for us will be the SRO viewing decks- that will shrink the season ticket waiting list, drop secondary market prices, and more importantly, bring an extra 1000-1500 screaming fans into the building. The SRO sales in Atlanta have been great- for their real football team, United, not the Falcons |

ALL THAT FOR A "SMALL MARKET" TEAM THAT THE NFL NEVER WANTS TO SEE IN THE SUPER BOWL AGAIN?
Will we ever learn? Never a Small Market Team!!! |
