Sometimes Cameron Jordan can seem to be a man of the people. He has questions that are on everybody’s mind, and there are times when he’ll take those questions to Twitter.
On Tuesday (May 14), in the moments after the New Orleans Pelicans stunningly landed the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft despite their 6% percent odds, the New Orleans Saints defensive end typed the Twitter name for Anthony Davis and asked him a question. “u mentoring the no. 1 pick or yah? #reconciliation,” Jordan wrote. Jordan has been no stranger to the Pelicans during his eight seasons with the Saints. He frequently attends games and could be seen court side during some of the Pelicans playoff games during their two-round postseason run last year against the Trail Blazers and Warriors. That length of time in the city certainly has given him some sense of belonging among its sports fans, which makes his question to Davis something of a representation of what many fans want to know. He’s not the only person in New Orleans to call out Davis for his midseason request for a trade from the Pelicans that caused some measure of friction between him and management during what turned into a losing season, but his public stature certainly draws notice from fans. “You are my hero for this,” wrote one respondent to the message on Twitter. “If I vote for a Nobel peace price, then it is you and Jimmy Carter.” NOLA |

Re: Saints’ Cameron Jordan has a question for Anthony Davis
It is what it is.
As for Zion, I see a young Larry Johnson type player. That could be a great thing for the Pels. Die hard New York fans are probably sick ... the NFL draft pick (Duke QB taken at #6) & now possibly losing out on the Zion Sweepstakes. |
