The article says he had hemp powder. Hemp powder is legal in all 50 states and can legally be shipped by USPS anywhere in the country as long as it has less .03% THC. The hemp is bred so it has high levels of CBD but very little THC. You can walk into stores in New Orleans and get it. Hopefully the oil was CBD oil and the ounces were hemp flower buds. Hemp flower buds are identical to marijuana but also have higher levels of CBD and less than .03% THC. They police can test it to find out.
It very well have been the real deal but it’s 2019. States are dropping this draconian law one by one. One day they will admit that while opiates and benzodiazepines are great for the pharmaceutical companies they are horrible for patients. A little pot can work wonders for pain, anxiety and depression and is a much safer alternative than the above. The XFL isn’t testing for it. About the only good idea they have had. |

Just because a citation was given it doesn't mean anything illegal took place. |

The question that alarms me - what prompted law enforcement to conduct this search of his premises?!?

Legality has zero to do with employer policy enforcement and isn't an applicable argument. You can argue it, but it wont hold water. To AG's point a judge has yet to rule on whether he was guilty of a crime or that the search was legal.
Texas has no motorcycle helmet law other than having to have sufficient insurance to ride without one, employers are perfectly within their right to require a helmet while riding on company property. Open and conceal carry are legal in Texas with a permit, business owners and employers are within their legal right to post a sign forbidding either carry on their property. Long hair and beards are legal in all 50 states, not if you are employed by a branch of the US military unless job description allows (special forces, etc...). There are too many examples of how something being legal doesn't effect an employers ability to set and enforce policy against it. |

Honestly, it makes no sense to have both clearly hemp-based products AND MJ based products. Why not just MJ? But the questions of why and who tried to make something out of what may end up being completely above board still remain. |

I hope the cops don't find out where I live. I'd never be able to play in the NFL if they drug test me for pot. It's medicinal of course! :beatnik:

It is surprising that he did have both instead of just MJ though. Hopefully it will all turn out to be the same thing. |

I have started trying a brand of CBD oil. It's helped my joints. :)
