Akerstrom will spend the entire season on the Saints' practice squad and cannot be cut or activated. The 6-foot-6, 280-pounder played for the University of Arkansas and for NFL Europe's Frankfurt Galaxy.
Joined the Galaxy in Week 5. Akerstrom, who hails from Oslo, was a walk-on kicker at the University of Arkansas who got bigger and stronger with each passing season and became a valued member of the school's football team at the defensive end position. 8) |
