His grandson, Arch, plays for Neuman, as a QB.

Arch is only an 8th grader, but scrimmaged with the Isidore Newman HS (same HS as Cooper (his Dad), Peyton, and Eli) Varsity team...

Re: Happy 70th Birthday, Archie!

To the younger gang here - as good as Peyton and Eli are - Archie was that good - having witnessed a lot of talent in my years, Archie Manning's talent was greater than any I've seen - all comers...

My disdain for Mecom, Stram, Bum Phillips was intense; then I met Archie in the most ridiculous way spending an hour visiting with Archie at a printer's convention (mostly foreigners) at the NOLA Convention Centre...

Was only 18, but his life advice is still with me, turning bad experiences into life lessons and what good I've done in this world is due to my Dad, my Uncles, and that conversation with my childhood hero...

As great as he could of been on the field, he's a greater man and I'm the better for having shared that time with him as you can tell, I never let an opportunity pass that I don't share that story...

I saw some video clips from that. Arch can throw the football very well for his age.

He sure was fun to watch. Archie Manning was really the only bright spot for quite some time.

Hit the RB on a hit route, in stride, throwing it under-handed...
