Re: USA Today/Saints Wire: Report: Marcus Davenport 'day to day' for OTA's
I would understand your angst more if the picks had been top 15 first rounders, but both were in the bottom of the first.

I really hope injury doesn’t become a common theme for him throughout his career.

Re: USA Today/Saints Wire: Report: Marcus Davenport 'day to day' for OTA's
From my readings, there are varying degrees/grades (3 levels) on Turf Toe injuries.
I remember watching A Football Life and Charles Woodson talk about turf toe & how he had his first issue while playing in Oakland (2000) at the time. Apparently his was so severe, he was never able to shake the injury although he was able to play another decade at a high level. Same goes for Deion Sanders & Ray Lewis. This injury is no joke. Get well soon Davenport. |

It really set back Mark Ingram for a couple of years. It can linger indefinitely and never fully heal if you rush back to running too soon. I hope he comes back strong and doesn't rush himself back. It seems like the staff is being cautious with him.
