That's "average nfl player" money nowadays. McCoy can still play at elite level. If this was beginning of the offseason he would get that money easily.

Cam Jordan is underpaid. Probably in line for big extension.

Not counting on Rankins to play this year, and if he does, that'll be lagniappe - But he won't be the explosive player he was right away before the injury...

Signing McCoy likely put us in the Superbowl and despite his age, rotating, even teaching Onyemata, he would help make our opposition's 3rd and distance perilous...

As far as Cam, he's now earning his contract and under contract, and quite realistically, he can smell a ring and the extra mil per year won't buy him that ring, which checks a big box for HOF discussion...

True but per some twitter feeds have reported "multiple years/double digits" type deals ... man the Saints just can't afford to keep up with the Jones's.

You got too many other younger, talented players to eventually pay.

Nothing is over until it's over but I just don't see McCoy signing in NO.

Most likely whoever makes the best offer on a winning team will get his services. I hope it's us, although I'm sure Loomis offered him a fair contract and won't budge. That's not his style.

I agree. Baltimore's playoff chances all depend on improving their offense.

The Ravens in the past have had elite defensive units and not went far. 2006, 2009 and 2011 all come to mind - top 3 ranked defenses and only one got past the divisional round.

Pittsburgh is dysfunctional as all hell now that the curtain has fell and everyone sees the cult of Big Ben and his ego.

No one is talking about Cincy who is the unpredictable one. New head coach, plenty of changes.

It's really Cleveland's division to lose. If they are for real this year, they should get 10 wins.

FWIW, Torrey Smith took a 2M paycut which now gives the Panthers 12M in cap space ...

If you connect the dots, they are trying to make room for Gerald.

As I've stated before, it's about the money for him and not necessarily going to a "winning" team or serious SB contender.

But hey, we'll still leave the light on for you down on Metairie Drive ;).
