Payton The Poker Player

It's no secret that Sean Payton likes to gamble. He holds, bluffs, raises or will stand pat when the cards are right. He goes through players like discards. He only keeps his best cards and gets rid of his low cards to start fresh with an opportunity to get better than your opponents. And yes, he always knows when to pull out his joker that no one is expecting.

He's aggressive when he wagers and knows his opponents tells because he studies them and formulates a strategy on how to play his best hand. He keeps up with the discards so that he can be better informed as to which cards are left. Also, he never ever folds! He may not bet big but he never folds.

You can almost see him decide to gamble big when he feels confident about his hand. Is it a bluff? You never know. I would say that he definitely has a poker face during the game. He holds his cards close to his chest and doesn't give anything away. I wouldn't want to play poker against him. I'd rather play black jack with him.

I know that he's good at chess. I've watched him play for years and he is a brilliant strategist. I wouldn't doubt that he has a black and gold chess piece at home.

There are a lot of different poker game and Payton chose his. Personally, Texas hold 'em is my favorite.

In NFL lore, many figures of the game have nicknames.

Brett Favre was The Gunslinger, Peyton Manning was The Sheriff, Walter Payton was Sweetness, Deion Sanders was Primetime....

Payton should be referred to as 'The Gambler'.
