I totally get that angle Beast however ...

The decision makers behind the Saints HOF voting could also factor in what "impact" (Hurricane Katrina) /contributions a player may have made to the organization off the field that would evoke memories for years or in some cases a lifetime. IIRC (someone correct me if that isn't accurate), Bush still hold both records (longest runs) in Saints playoff punt & receiving TD history. I don't think we get a Lombardi without him. Key piece to the offense.

He's not in the Canton discussion, however Saints HOF ?? I'd say yes without question :bng:.

Yeah, he was on the SB team and as you stated, holds some team records, did a lot of good for the community so I get it. I guess I'm just spoiled rotten with Kamara now. He raised the bar too damn high.

Reggie doesn't even look a year older than when we drafted him.

Compare him to his contemporaries, even on his team, and you'll find Pierre Thomas actually has more Saints RB numbers than Reggie...

Pierre Thomas is 5th with 3,745 RuYds & Reggie is 12th at 2090 RuYds; Receiving Back? Well, Pierre Thomas is 1st among RBs (16th OAL) with 2,608 ReYds & Reggie is 3rd among RBs (22nd OAL) with 2,142 ReYds...

So the numbers may not be there, but that doesn't diminish Bush's contribution and what his drafting meant for the Saints and Saints fans...

The good old days of Colston, PT23 and Lance Moore.

Bush would have his moments where he look like he wanted to play, but I'll always have fond memories of PT23 over Bush, Pierre just never gave up, played every snap like it was his last. The force he could generate to stay off the floor and move the pile was unreal.

^^^ With the exception of Bushrod, I think PT was the best player from the 2007 Saints draft class. Well, in his case ...un drafted.

Diamond in the Rough.

Pierre...definitely way at the top of favorite Saints list.

Criminally disrespected

After Katrina and all that San Antonio nonsense the drafting of Bush meant to me that the ownership was serious about staying and winning so for that Reggie will always be special to me. In 2009 there were several games where he really made an impact including the Super Bowl. His TD in the Eagles game which was tight up till that point really broke that game open. He soared what looked like 7-8 yards for a TD in the Dolphins crazy come back. If we hadn't gotten home field, who knows what would have happened in the NFCCG. He took over the Cardinals playoff game with that video game-like (on easy) TD. I never thought we'd ever get to a SuperBowl much less win one. For that I'll always be grateful. 10 letters painted on the dome's walls seems a pair price.
