Barry was right on the players he spotlighted and for the reasons he listed them while being more positive than others in rightful criticisms of Davenport, Bridgewater...

While I do agree that all eyes will be on Cameron Meredith, I disagree with the label "FA bust".
If we go back and look at the terms of his deal based on market, it was a fairly modest/low (tore MCL & ACL) risk contract. My hope is that he's 100%, ready to go and compete for the slot role. People tend to forget that while in Chicago, he was actually playing better football than Alshon Jeffries. I pray he's healthy now. The thought of MT, Ginn Jr, Cook, 3quan Smith, Kirkwood (both rookies now more comfortable with the playbook) and a healthy Meredith in this offense ... deadly with SP calling plays and #9 throwing you the ball. Time to go get it. |

One player we don’t have to worry about and who has shown me more evidence of being Drew’s heir is Taysom Hill

TB is still a mystery to me and I believe that he may just be insurance in case Drew goes down. It's an expensive insurance plan no doubt. But Sean Payton likes to be prepared for anything. We'll see if TB works out.....I'm hoping he does because I like him as a person. His team mates and coaches also feel good about him. Maybe he needed coach Payton to coach him up to the next level. It certainly has helped Drew. Only time will tell. |

I know it's only Day 2 of mini camp but a few local beat writers have brought up the name Emmanuel Butler a few times at practice.
Keep an eye out for this rookie. |
