Ugly ending with the Titans front office & injuries (knee/hammy) hurt his value.

Give me the ball or cut me was basically how that ended...

In my mind, there's two things to consider...

This is the Titans we're talking about, so they wouldn't know what to do with him...

But, thirty other teams didn't rush out and sign him so Rishard may not be the talent he thinks he is either...

We're gonna find out...

The Patriots were geniuses to send him packing to the Rams. I don't care what anyone says. Offloading Cooks allowed them the room to transition their offense into something more run-heavy to accommodate for Brady's age. Their 41 year old QB got to game-manage most of the year.

On the other hand, Cooks was one of their key problems in that SB loss. I cannot get that play out of my head where they did the end-around run on 4th down and Cooks clearly had the speed to outrun the guy, but instead runs directly to him and tries to jump over him. (facepalm).

Rams fans argued with me that Cooks was better than MT, but you saw in the Super Bowl how he couldn't catch in the end zone on the play before Goff's INT. He's still a slot receiver at best. Gets shut down by just any kind of DB that can play aggressive.

I agree. Different team culture here than Tennessee, maybe it will change him? It worked for Eli Apple.

He came to the Saints....
1-A team that, but for the worst call in the history of the NFL, would have been in the SuperBowl.
2-A team with a HOF QB who owns a majority of NFL passing records and who will likely own the rest before retiring, yet was willing to throw less and run more...because that’s what it took for this team to win.
3-A team with the second coming of Gayle Sayers in the backfield.
4-A team who’s No 1 WR is ranked in the NFL’s top 3.

If Matthews thinks it’s going to be all about him, he’ll be gone faster than AP.

He can’t be that stupid.

i know all about Brandin Cooks and also how ironic that the Saints sign a player who "Wants the ball" yet it is for that very reason Cooks was sent to the Patriots.

Then, Cooks had no catches in a blowout victory over the Rams when the Saints scored 49 points. It was a big game for the team, and Cooks took the opportunity to use the aftermath to clamor for more targets.

"Closed mouths don't get fed," he told reporters. That week, reports (including from NFL Network) discussed the two sides parting ways in the offseason.
