Give me the ball or cut me was basically how that ended...
In my mind, there's two things to consider... This is the Titans we're talking about, so they wouldn't know what to do with him... But, thirty other teams didn't rush out and sign him so Rishard may not be the talent he thinks he is either... We're gonna find out... |

On the other hand, Cooks was one of their key problems in that SB loss. I cannot get that play out of my head where they did the end-around run on 4th down and Cooks clearly had the speed to outrun the guy, but instead runs directly to him and tries to jump over him. (facepalm). Rams fans argued with me that Cooks was better than MT, but you saw in the Super Bowl how he couldn't catch in the end zone on the play before Goff's INT. He's still a slot receiver at best. Gets shut down by just any kind of DB that can play aggressive. |

i know all about Brandin Cooks and also how ironic that the Saints sign a player who "Wants the ball" yet it is for that very reason Cooks was sent to the Patriots.
Then, Cooks had no catches in a blowout victory over the Rams when the Saints scored 49 points. It was a big game for the team, and Cooks took the opportunity to use the aftermath to clamor for more targets. "Closed mouths don't get fed," he told reporters. That week, reports (including from NFL Network) discussed the two sides parting ways in the offseason. |
