Drew Brees, Sean Payton impressed by Erik McCoy at center
Erik McCoy was a player the New Orleans Saints had their eye on for a while, and were intrigued enough to trade up 14 spots in the NFL Draft and select the former Texas A&M center.
Now, McCoy looks poised to compete for the starting center job in his rookie season after getting many of the first teams reps with the offense during the minicamp. Saints quarterback Drew Brees says McCoy is learning the system well. https://247sports.com/nfl/new-orlean...ter-133037929/ |
