The New Orleans Saints almost proved them right last year.

Almost.

Those three words — "prove them right" — were boldly on display outside of the Saints' practice facility this time a year ago.

It was the Saints' battle cry last season, a call for the team to prove right all the prognosticators who had such lofty expectations for the team.

If it had not been for the no-call in the NFC championship game against the Los Angeles Rams, perhaps the Saints would've had a chance to do that.

But they didn't.

So now it's time for another slogan.

What should the Saints use for a motto this season as they head into training camp starting on Friday?

Here are a few suggestions.

Miami Twice: It probably doesn't seem like it has been this long, but it has been. This season marks the 10-year anniversary of the Saints one and only trip to the Super Bowl. That Super Bowl, like this upcoming one, was held in Miami. What better way to commemorate what happened a decade ago than to go back to Florida and try to duplicate what they did on that Feb. 7 day in 2010.

LIV it up: This is Super Bowl LIV. And folks in New Orleans love to live it up. No further explanation needed.

Do it for Drew: OK, so Brees hasn't said anything about retiring after this season. But he turns 41 in January and he knows he's much closer to the end of his career than he is to the beginning. If you've watched the NFL long enough, you know the Super Bowl window doesn't stay open forever. (The Patriots have managed to prop their window open longer than most). But the clock is ticking for Brees to add one more ring to his collection before retiring and heading off to put on his gold jacket in Canton, Ohio.

Did not like the 'Prove Them Right' slogan at all last year.

We really don't need a slogan, just do your job.
