Use Free Agency to round out rosters, not to build them... And Chris, I don't know that we even need to trade Mr. Marcus, if we can't fit his veteran salary slot under the cap with Kamara, Lattimore, Ramczyk - Let his contract expire, get the compensatory pick which is gonna be no less than a fourth when Marcus signs his veteran contract (base on his current valuation in the league)... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: USA Today/Saints Wire: Rookie safety Saquan Hampton standing out at Saints training camp
Williams played safe last year probably by the coaches design. Other than a blown no call by the refs, the Saints would have been in the Super Bowl. While he didn't specifically stand out in a good way, he didn't in a bad way either. Hampton may be a natural play maker and/or is just letting it all hang out. It's way too early to tell. But, the draft class and UDFA's are looking good so far.

Expecting a return to form of his rookie season especially as Eli Apple and either P.J. or P-Rob better hold down their responsibilities... |

Remember folks......we need depth and don't want to trade away the best free safety we've had in a while. However if we keep drafting talent then maybe we trade him. I like him but we literally can't pay everybody.

Re: USA Today/Saints Wire: Rookie safety Saquan Hampton standing out at Saints training camp
Is this a great interception or a poorly under thrown ball? If that ball from what I can see in the videos posted if that is place 5-7 yards further downfield Hampton is out of place and that's a TD.
Granted, I'm only seeing a few slices of places since camp started. But I have seen that play executed better where it ends up with Cook beating all the DB/S and walking into the endzone. I only wish I could see more footage of how the rest are playing. Concur on the M Williams deal as this could be a fish or cut bait year for him. |
