Re: USA Today/Saints Wire: Rookie RB Devine Ozigbo seizing opportunity with Saints
He does look similar to PT. I could see him blowing up in PS and getting in the RS rotation early.

He should get a big workload this preseason. I know he is talented, but I want to see blitz pickup, yards after contact, vision & BALL SECURITY. If he can't hold on to it, see ya.

He has as good a chance as any other back out there not named Kamara.

Suffice it to say being a player in the NFL is hard. It's REALLY effing hard. So due respect to Chris Ivory, Khiry Robinson and Travaris Cadet, but neither of those 3 could hold PT's jock. I always felt that in his prime under different circumstances PT would have been closer to special than just 'a good back'. He was a son of a to stop on the screen. Deadly even. He had uncommonly good vision. On and on. So if this kid Ozigbo is gonna be the next PT then I'm excited, but I think I'll reserve that kind of praise for now. Let's see it when it counts, then count me in. |
