God man it wasn’t that bad. Payton has a losing record in preseason. Games like this shouldn’t be a surprise. Zimmer on the other hand plays to win. Keeps starters in.
It’s not like every player on the field looked like lost puppies. Camp has to be grinding on them by now but practice our West will be a welcome break from the heat. If we look like **** in the first half of game 3 then maybe it’s time to be concerned but in the meantime just enjoy camp and preseason for what it is. Yes Payton said the players hit a wall that first practice after the game but that is normal. They redeemed themselves the next day. |

McCoy is the real deal but he’s not going to replace a perineal Pro Bowler like Unger. If injuries hit other positions he’s not going to be as comfortable with changes. He will get it but the lack of experience in those situations could hurt. The key to beating the Saints has been Pressure on Drew. The older he gets the worse it’s going to get. If the offensive line struggles we may very well be better off with TB in. |
