On the ground. Through the air. It didn't matter.
New Orleans Saints do-it-all backup Taysom Hill was determined to lead his team to a win Sunday afternoon against the Los Angeles Chargers in Carson, California. After a disastrous, mistake-riddled first half that saw the Saints trail the Chargers 17-3, the third-year quarterback made big play after big play to spark a run of 16 unanswered points for the comeback victory. Hill had a passer rating of 140.6 for the game, completing 11 of 15 passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns. His second touchdown, a 1-yard pass to Devine Ozigbo with 6 minutes left in the fourth quarter, brought the Saints within one point — after a missed 2-point conversion — but his first touchdown pass of the game a quarter earlier had the internet buzzing. more on NOLA |

Re: Taysom Hill does it all, puts on a show in preseason win vs. Chargers
He's the kind of guy that you want on your team. He's willing to do anything that the coaches ask of him. Payton is creative and has found a way to get him on the field. He's literally lined up everywhere! And he's also dynamic when he gets the ball. Did I mention that he can block too?

He didn't break Steve Young's records at BYU for nothing.

Know that Carr was really open for his TdRec, but that was an absolute laser Taysom threw...
My favorite play was when they ran the same play from a week ago that Teddy failed to connect with Rogers on for the 2 pt conversion... Taysom showed much better scrambling ability and rolled out to Ozigbo for the PaTd - that was textbook... |

Hope Butler doesn’t wind up like Adrian Arrington.

He doesn't hold the ball. If it's not there then screw it, run.

What ... a Super bowl champion ?
Seriously speaking though ... Butler went undrafted and Adrian was a 6th rounder. Realistically, what are your expectations for this kid? It's extremely difficult for 1st/2nd rounders to succeed at this level, much less lower round draft picks. Colston, Edelman's of the world are rare breeds. |
