Re: Teddy Bridgewater is perfect fit for Panthers
If Hill is our only backup there is no way they are going to be able to ask him to do what he does. Even if he’s in a Qb he would have to learn to limit his runs and contact.

Re: Teddy Bridgewater is perfect fit for Panthers
I'm all for not exposing Hill to the extra stuff. He's a great competitor and tough as nails. But, it's more of a great story than production in regards to him being the backup QB or not. He is the backup QB. He can lead the Saints to victories now and in the future. It's time to cut out the extra stuff.

I’m not convinced TB is going to be a good QB in the NFL BUT I’m also not convinced he won’t be.

Re: Teddy Bridgewater is perfect fit for Panthers
Why does everybody think if we traded Teddy that Taysom would become the automatic 2nd string QB? I'm sure Sean could find a decent veteran QB in free agency that could take 2nd string and Taysom could continue on as Jack of All Trades.

Re: Teddy Bridgewater is perfect fit for Panthers
I tried to tell Saints fans for over a year that Bridgewater is not that good and was simply an insurance policy in case Brees got injured. It was insane to even think of him as our Steve Young like some fans compared him to. I tried to tell people and just got shouted down constantly about how I was trolling and needed to go look at his lone pro bowl season (which I did and found out that he really wasn't that good).
He wouldn't be a starter anywhere else last year. I don't care about his one pro bowl year where he was still an average QB. Minnesota's offense dramatically improved with Case Keenum. I think most of the hype around Bridgewater is what happens when we sign players, kinda like all the insane hype over Dez Bryant - another player no one else wanted and couldn't get a job anywhere. With that said, I am not convinced we would trade him to a division rival. |

Let's pray Brees stays healthy and the back-ups keep backing up.
