Yes. It’s the one part of our game that hasn’t been good over the past few years. If we were able to flip the field just once per game and give Brees less ground to cover that could translate into at least one or two extra wins. A lot of people underestimate special teams but great special teams play can make up for mediocre play on offense and defense.
Our coverage has been pretty good. If we can shorten the field for Drew or even take a couple to the house it takes pressure off everyone else.
Can you remember the last time we had a return for a TD that wasn’t called back?

At this level, it's critical. There will come a time this season when we are in a close battle under 2 minutes & we force a punt. Having Deonte' back there with the ability to give Brees a short field (to convert a winning Lutz FG) or even potentially taking it to the house & breaking the opponents back. Huuuuggge. Games can be won and lost on special teams too.

I can't recall the last time the Saints had a punt returned for a TD ... it's been years.

Marcus Murphy maybe ? IDK ...

A guy like Harris could be a game changer. Teams won’t kick to special returners. Which means short fields for Drew or a lot of drives starting at the 25.
