this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; It could be we don't need that many RB's. Hill could do it if we were that desperate. He already kinda does on a limited scale. Ozigbo doesn't bring anything else to the table. If he was a good returner ...

Re: NFL, Saints Cuts
Cutting Ozigbo is short sighted. He would have been the #2 next year and cheap with an upside. Plus, if Kamara or Murray gets nicked, as all RB's do, the Saints have nothing. I would be shocked if the Dolphins don't sign him, Butler and maybe Humphrey. Putting Rankins on the 53 when he could have been left on PUP for the first six weeks is even worse. He's not going to play in the first six weeks Hampton did nothing in preseason. Would have easily made the PS. Wes Horton?

Re: NFL, Saints Cuts
Well... I was wrong about the Carr move. Hope it pans out. I thought Butler and Humphrey could add more grit and big bodies to our WRs. Outside of Thomas we have a group of WRs that are not physical at all. Looks like it's going to be the Thomas and Cook show... I still think Butler or Humphrey would have been the 3rd best WR on the roster.

I guess when week 11 gets here and we are scouring for WR's due to injury because Carr can't provide anything, we can circle back to this thread as reference. Hopefully Butler and/or Humphrey can make it on the practice squad but I believe Emmanuel Butler is all but gone. |

Re: NFL, Saints Cuts
I don’t get Carr sticking around again...for a small WR he gets no separation and when given an opportunity does nothing. He doesn’t contribute in any other method. I honestly think that Brees needs the bigger targets especially at the end of the year when his arm starts to fade but I’m not in the coaching room so I guess we are all wrong with our evaluations.
