Re: USA Today/Saints Wire: Highlights from Saints' tumultuous 30-28 victory over Texans
Takeaways from tonight:
First, Wil Lutz is now Wil Big Nutz Lutz and is worth every dollar of his new contract... Two, For the first time in six years, we're 1-0 and first in the division after Week One... Three, Michael @CantGuardMike Thomas is worth every dollar of his new contract... Four, Ryan Ramczyk dominated not only a Hall of Famer, but probably a Top 5 Defensive Linemen of All-Time Tonight (send a Badger to stop a Badger)... Five, Trey T-Rex Hendrickson has raised the bar for his play and we should now expect great things from him in his third year... Six, Sean Payton is not patient enough with the run which keyed the second half turnaround by pounding their defense, letting our defense recoup their wind... Seven, some guys' play is just infectious and it was never more evident tonight when Taysom keyed some big plays... Eight, Mr. Marcus is still whiffing on tackles, but he found his eye of the tiger later with that center fielding snag-momentum check of an INT... Nine, even Drew and the first team offense needs more than one series in one preseason game to get ready for the regular season... Lastly, Sean Payton and Dennis Allen need to take a good look in the mirror because both made some questionable game managing calls tonight where they were bailed out by clutchness of Drew, MikeT and Lutz... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

On the Houston side, they'd better learn from their division rival Colts - they've got a special QB there, but this is the NFL Not For Long if he keeps taking hits like he took tonight...

I sure hope we don't win all 19 games like that... but if we do, I'll take it but I'm going to need more blood pressure meds.

Re: USA Today/Saints Wire: Highlights from Saints' tumultuous 30-28 victory over Texans
This game sadly went the way I expected, as a nail biter that we could easily blow.
I'm not looking forward to next week. They better really get it together, cause we will be facing a motivated Rams team that is going to try to humiliate us after a whole summer of talking about rule changes. |
