As I said in a previous post; players and coaches never want to tank. It's on management that intentionally does this. Not every player is going to be Larry Fitzgerald and stay loyal to a team that is ran into the ground from awful management. |

People threw a fit cause they treat players like they owe a team something. He didn't owe Cleveland anything. Those fans burning his jerseys should've been angry at the management who did everything to squander those years as he was reaching his prime. It's fair to blame him for a lot of the problems with Cleveland after he came back cause he was running the show, but those early Cavs rosters were not constructed with his output and pals involved. Not everyone wants to be Larry Fitzgerald and stay loyal to a team with horrible management. Fitz could've joined us, Denver, or New England and caught passes from a Hall of Famer and possibly won a ring. I don't feel sorry for guys like that who stick around and waste their careers on crappy teams just to stay loyal to a team they make all the sacrifices for. John Elway was smart to avoid going to Indy after they drafted him... |
Re: Minkah Fitzpatrick
Until we know the severity of Drew Brees's injury, this situation reinforces my belief that teams should never go all-in as you can lose your best player in one play that your championship hopes are tethered...
That said, wasn't crazy about trading for Minkah, but after yesterday, Bell shouldn't be in our long-term plans... I'd package Bell with a third and offer it to Miami, especially since Dallas has pulled out of the sweepstakes and the market may be drying up... Cooper Kupp, who, full disclosure, I admittedly wanted more than Marcus Williams or Alvin Kamara, absolutely was the kill-shot for secondary... Minkah's skill set would have been a much better matchup there than Bell or P J Williams... Don't overreact, misinterpret - Not saying blow everything up after a terrible loss, but we've got tools in the tool box for a great secondary... Lattimore got caught trying to do much but will be fine. Gardner would be great complement with Minkah in SS/NB duties. Marcus improves, or Saquon gets an opportunity... |

BTW Cooper Kupp had Lattimore on roller skates yesterday. |

Now he's a Saint. Not buying that theory on players giving up at adversity. |

Yep, and look, some players love the game and aren't down with playing for a team seeking to rebuild... Minkah went to 'Bama, where they've got their sh*t in order. If he's gonna play, he wants teams to have their act together... Dan Fouts during the Patriots @ Dolphins game pointed out on a screen shot of Dan Marino and his 58th birthday yesterday mentioned Miami has had twenty (20) quarterbacks since Marino retired in 2000... That's one new starting quarterback per season! |
Re: Minkah Fitzpatrick
You could play 4 or 5 safety sets and I’d venture to guess they still wouldn’t show up on the play
