Our offense ranked outside the top 5 in yards for the first time under Sean Payton. Yes, those trash WRs really were trash... Go back to the final month of the season. Dallas figured this out and showed the world a blueprint on how to stop us. While everyone talked about the stupid non-call to the point it made other fan bases hate us for going on and on about it; no one talked about the 2 dropped TDs in the end zone that would've put us up 17-0 and in the driver's seat to a blow out. Lack of depth at WR came back to haunt us when it mattered the most. No one cared though cause that non-call was so bad and people focused too much on it. Brees was relying on Thomas the same way young Brett Favre threw everything to Sterling Sharpe when that was the only guy he had. |
