Can’t do that... timing matters as does WRs knowledge of where the QB places the ball. There is something unique about the QB/WR connection.

Hill is the guy imo, I think he could be very successful. Looked amazing in the preseason and gives that X factor. He will only last for 3-4 years until the hits catch up to him. Teddy has nothing unique to his game, locks in on 1 short pass and if it isn’t there it’s a bad play. I used to be a teddy fan until the CAR game last season when I realized how below average he really is.

“A week with the ones”?

How many times we have to read this book before it sticks — Teddy can’t do it. Let’s try the experimental drug before we subject ourselves to a slow, agonizing death.

If you have called QB the next Steve Young, sober or drunk, your decision is made isn’t it?

Teddy is a starting QB that has been waiting for his chance, he didn’t look like he was prepared for it.

This is the most logical answer. Teddy sure looks like he lacks pocket presence.

If the injury is as bad as some speculate, with a rehab time of atleast 4-6 months, there has to bee a risk that this was the last we saw of Brees playing football.

I'd rather roll the dice with #7

He'll be back... Just maybe not this year.

I can only come up with three possible explanations for what we saw and not a single one leaves me with much hope...

1. The pressure of coming off the bench cold shook him. (As seasoned as he is this should have not been the case)

2. The chance that he hung his helmet on to stay in New Orleans, a chance that a lot of names have dreamed of while passing through our locker room, arrived and he wasn't ready. (this one troubles me the most)

3. What we are seeing of Teddy is as good as he gets. (Sadly this I do believe is the case when I consider what we saw of him in pre-season)

I am open to rainbows if someone can throw a couple my way lol. Thoughts and prayers just to not resonate in my world. :broccoli:

Teams don't tank.

I love watching Hill play. I think he's crazy. That being said, I'm willing to be patient and see how TB does with a week of preparation and first team reps. Maybe he'll be well worth the backup money he was paid. He has a lot to play for. If he comes in and does well, he'll get signed to a large contract for a team to be the starter in the off season.

If he comes out flat and lays an egg, let Hill get in there and see what he can do.
