Re: USA Today/Saints Wire: Trey Hendrickson spearheads Saints' league-leading pass rush
Pass rush is there LB coverage in the middle is an issue... Williams getting beat over the top has also been a theme in these first two games. Williams needs to play deeper, let Bell come up on the shallow routs.
The real issue is the run game, we keep getting beat around the edge. When you can’t stop the run DBs start cheating up and letting plays get behind them... need to stop the run and DB play will improve. |

Re: USA Today/Saints Wire: Trey Hendrickson spearheads Saints' league-leading pass rush
You know, understandably, our quarterback's health is our primary concern for both him personally and as our leader on the field...
But lost in this news cycle the past week is that we kept another UDFA (actually two now) along the defensive line in Shy Tuttle, and now Granderson... Tuttle has played extremely well... |

I'll eat a healthy dose of crow on T-Rex. Didn't expect much but year 3 is the magic number. Usually players with promise "click" in the system.
3 sacks in 2 games. Has to get better setting the edge though. Keep grinding. |

Much of the PaYd giving up in the Rams game in the middle of the field, both Anzalone and , at least from what I'm seeing, had more to do with scheme... |

Lot of pressure in the coaches' room to justify the Davenport pick, so he was getting a lot of the attention... To Hendrickson's credit, per the articles, interviews, he put in the extra work in both the film room and weight room to get to where he is... When Hagan and I exchange notes on him during the lead-up to the 2017 draft, we got real excited about the idea of stealing him in the third round... Tthat changed we when traded for a R3 pick to get Kamara, and took Anzalone as well... Trey showed he was smart, but he had the mean streak just underneath; athleticism was there even if his wingspan was slightly less than ideal... Hope we can find a way to keep him, but if this keeps up, don't see it happening... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Davenport and Jordan are allowing the others to have success.
