20:07 PT: Bill Williamson reports for the Pioneer Press the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints were near completion on a trade that would send Vikings backup QB Todd Bouman to the Saints. Sources close to the Bouman talks said the Saints had agreed to a deal contingent on working out contract details with Bouman. Apparently, Baltimore also made a play for Bouman. The deal would be for a sixth-round draft pick in April, and possibly a 2004 pick conditional on Bouman's performance. Talks reportedly went late into Wednesday night. :casstet:
