We could be in for a really ugly game offensively vs Dallas
I just don't see anyone stepping up after Dallas will obviously take away Thomas and Kamara like they did last year.
Gonna take some really good decoy design by Payton to get things done on the offensive side of the ball. Cooks needs to go for minimum 80 yards and Ginn probably the same. |
Re: We could be in for a really ugly game offensively vs Dallas
Cook needs to learn how to catch first.
But yeah, this one could be tough, they locked down our offense last year and Brees struggled, so cant imagine how Bridgewater will do. |
Re: We could be in for a really ugly game offensively vs Dallas
jus curious...do y'all think the Dallas D is as good as last year's squad?

So, have they played as well? Not really. But the players are the same, so they are capable. |

Awuzie has been hit or miss (Parker had his way with him last week) on those boundaries, their LB core didn't wake up until the 3rd quarter and Heath isn't the greatest in coverage on the back end. I simply fail to see them as this juggernaut the media is making them out to be. Now if we were talking about that current Bears team ... I see them as being every bit as good as last year so far. |

Last year, also, Dallas was a different team on the road. They looked good at home and then get shutout at the Colts. They also was engaged in a high scoring shootout at the Giants week 17. Dallas has also played NO ONE. They have a predictable 3-0 record to start the year. Their offense looks so good as well because of that schedule. But their offense is highly exaggerated by lesser key players showing up. These lesser players have shown not to step up when the pressure is on the stars and this game tonight will be an example of that. The only concern I have is they will burn us for some plays but they will not be as explosive as they have been so far. I don't expect the likes of Gallup, Jarwin, or Smith to do anything tonight. Also, I am only concerned about if our offense without Brees can respond to the pressure against a team who has the intimidation factor in their corner. In other words, not beating ourselves. |

They are teeing up the Dallas game in less than 7 hours. |

I think we see Deonte Harris get more involved in the offense today. End around’s, jet sweeps, screens, etc. A little trickery with the speedster to catch Dallas off guard.

Throwing it out there ... If Southlake aka Jordan H is active today, I think he makes one big play tonight.
I'm almost certain Dallas defensive game plan is to take away Kamara and MT so Jared Cook must step up tonight. Gotta believe Sean Payton will be very creative tonight with his play calling. |

I hope you're right and prove me wrong. Better chance Harris gets involved in the offense tonight. |

They have issues with play action and stopping deep passes. That's something that could easily be exposed by the Packers, if Aaron Rodgers actually shows up next week and don't act like a baby. |
Re: We could be in for a really ugly game offensively vs Dallas
I'm a glass half full kind of guy. I am not optimistic about this game but after the way the team played in all phases I'm certainly not pessimistic either. Some of ya'll need to take a Xanax or smoke a doobie. :smokin:
The win last week has us in a better place than most of us anticipated. Let's remember that we are at the end of a brutal stretch of football and the schedule looks easier going forward with TB while we await Drew's return. |
Re: We could be in for a really ugly game offensively vs Dallas
Tampa could be a problem within the division. Constant pressure on Goff, Vita is collapsing the pocket and creating turnovers.
Todd Bowles is calling a good game defensively. |

Beating the Cowboys without scoring a TD sure does feel good.

Re: We could be in for a really ugly game offensively vs Dallas
It was pretty ugly.
Especially taking 3 off the board at the end of the game. Situationally Payton can't get Bridgewater sacked. Just totally stupid on Payton's part. Defense bailed us out, thankfully. |
