We could be in for a really ugly game offensively vs Dallas

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I just don't see anyone stepping up after Dallas will obviously take away Thomas and Kamara like they did last year. Gonna take some really good decoy design by Payton to get things done on the offensive side of the ...

Cooks needs to go for minimum 80 yards and Ginn probably the same.

Cook needs to learn how to catch first.

But yeah, this one could be tough, they locked down our offense last year and Brees struggled, so cant imagine how Bridgewater will do.

Dallas's defense hasn't looked as strong, but the personnel has remained mostly the same outside of replacing Gregory with Quinn. Gregory had a good game against the Saints last year, but also characteristically made some bone-headed plays. Quinn is a smarter player and may be as good athletically.

So, have they played as well? Not really. But the players are the same, so they are capable.

At the current moment, I don't.

Awuzie has been hit or miss (Parker had his way with him last week) on those boundaries, their LB core didn't wake up until the 3rd quarter and Heath isn't the greatest in coverage on the back end.

I simply fail to see them as this juggernaut the media is making them out to be. Now if we were talking about that current Bears team ... I see them as being every bit as good as last year so far.

I don’t, I just question whether TB can lead us to a win. Last week the win was based on defensive and special teams plays.

That's speculation. There's no clear vision of how the game would have unfolded if those other scoring opportunities had not occured. The offense moved the ball. The offense scored the ball. So stating that the win was solely based on defensive and special teams scoring is a bit disingenuous.

Strong strong likelihood is the Saints would have lost had it not been for the two non offensive scores. Giving Wilson a shot to win the game in the 4th, especially at home, that's almost a guaranteed win for Seattle. We were very fortunate to be up 3 scores going into the 4th.

Dallas is not the same defense year to year. Also, that game was on a Thursday night after Thanksgiving where Dallas has been so used to playing more than other teams. They've won five in a row in that slot.

Last year, also, Dallas was a different team on the road. They looked good at home and then get shutout at the Colts. They also was engaged in a high scoring shootout at the Giants week 17.

Dallas has also played NO ONE. They have a predictable 3-0 record to start the year. Their offense looks so good as well because of that schedule. But their offense is highly exaggerated by lesser key players showing up. These lesser players have shown not to step up when the pressure is on the stars and this game tonight will be an example of that. The only concern I have is they will burn us for some plays but they will not be as explosive as they have been so far. I don't expect the likes of Gallup, Jarwin, or Smith to do anything tonight. Also, I am only concerned about if our offense without Brees can respond to the pressure against a team who has the intimidation factor in their corner. In other words, not beating ourselves.
