PFT’s Week Five power rankings

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I think Sean has done a really good job easing Teddy in, and I also think we're going to see it get opened up a little more this Sunday......

I believe the offense is as open as it can/will get with Teddy. He doesn't see the field as well as Brees. Few do. The only legit weapons on offense are Mike and Alvin. Brees could make everyone on offense a target and productive beyond their ability. Teddy simply won't. Teddy will however make more plays on the run and with his legs than Drew. Teddy will be different. Teddy won't be a fantasy guy. Teddy can win. It's just going to look very different than Drew.

Agree. When under pressure Teddy also doesn't climb the pocket like Brees. Teddy's tendency is to scramble, which is possibly a contributing factor to some of the holding calls.

I agree with you on TB’s ability to read the defenses and make his read progression, but Dallas which has a great defense was not allowing TB and our receiver any time to separate. If TB can not get the ball out and down the field this week the against the Buc’s the hand writing is on the wall after 3 weeks and 2 weeks of game planning for Teddy as a whole this offense too talented to not be scoring more points. Does coach continue to play safe and hope the defense and special teams wins the games for us or does he make the change?

If we fall behind to the Buc’s I have not seen Teddy’s offensive play have the pace speed or energy to come from behind ... coach might make the change for some Taysom Time.

In fairness to Teddy... the Rams, Seahawks and Cowboys all have great defenses.
