So far, they look like the 2015 Broncos defense. That was a scary unit and the last historically great one. They were dominant enough to carry what was essentially the corpse of Peyton Manning to the SB and won it even with their offense playing historically bad for a SB game.

The Pats defense was good last year and most people overlooked them and were picking them to lose. They saved their juice for the playoffs and stepped up. This year's Pats defense could be their best unit since 2004. Brady didn't have to do much but game-manage for their first three SB wins.
