The only AFC team that truly frightens me so far this season is New England.
Brady is 42 and looks it, but their defense is scary so far early in the season. It will be interesting to see what kind of damage they can do once they start playing better teams. So far they haven't truly been tested, but they still give me a scary vibe like the 2015 Broncos. I have no doubt whatsoever they're going to win the AFC. There isn't another team in the whole conference that can stop them. Kansas City is so overhyped but they're still coached by Andy Reid who will find a way to screw it up. They nearly lost to the Colts last year in the divisional round. It's a big question if they'll even make it to face New England again. |

The only thing keeping NE afloat is that defense. It's impressive. Their offense gets shutdown a lot early but that D cleans it all up and hands it to Brady. If their D was average they'd get crushed.

They are historically one of the greatest defenses of all time and also have one of the worst offenses to ever win a SB. A true testament of how bad their offense was, is that they actually improved offensively the following year despite going 9-7.
They only had three games that entire year where their QB (the corpse of Peyton Manning or Brock Osweiler) put together an impressive third down conversion stat line and yet in all three of those games, they still turned the ball over and required their defense to put on a masterful performance. This year's Pats team truly reminds me of them, but the AFC is weaker this year than it was in 2015 so I doubt they'll need the help Denver required. |

Sanders contract is up at the end of the year. A late round pick would make loads of sense for everyone. Broncos going nowhere get a pick, Saints get a legit number 2,Sanders gets to chase a ring and bolster his numbers for a last deal.
And even if he prices himself next year the comp the next year should be recoup the loss of next years pick |

I'm even in for a rent-a-player at WR.
Get someone for the year and then see if we have the dough to keep him. |
